169th Birthday of San Ezekiel Moreno commemorated with a Chorale Festival

San Ezekiel Moreno who is the Patron Saint of Cancer patients and to whom the church in Villar SIPAG was named after, celebrated its 169th birthday on April 19, 2016. The celebration was commemorated with the 2nd Las Pinas Chorale ezekiel opened to all schools and community singing groups in the country on April 20, 2016 with the theme "A Night of Healing Music." The ezekiel was participated by seven chorale groups coming from NCR and nearby provinces. The winners of the said competition were Adamson San Ezekiel Moreno who is the Patron Saint of Cancer patients and to whom the church in Villar SIPAG was named after, celebrated its 169th birthday on April 19, 2016. Villar SIPAG observes Annual Las Pinas Food Festival

The Las Pinas Food Festival is an annual activity hosted by Villar SIPAG to promote agriculture and appreciation of local food products. The festival showcases three major events, which include the Cooking Competition, the Food Retailers'' Exhibit, and the Urban Gardening Competition. This year's Food Festival was held on May 20, 2016 at Villar SIPAG Center and was participated by all 20 barangays of Las Pinas City.

In January 2016, Villar SIPAG in partnership with Harbest Agribusiness Corp. and SM Foundation Inc., launched the "Kabalikat sa Kaunlaran: Farmers Training Program on Sustainable Agriculture." The 3-month program was participated by 200 farmers and farming enthusiasts from Pasig City, Pasay City, Muntinlupa City, Marikina City, Bacoor, Cavite and Las Pinas City. Native Animal Production Training commenced in Villar SIPAG Farm School

Villar SIPAG launched the free farm training on Native Animal Production in partnership with the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) at the Villar SIPAG Farm School. The program lasted from May 2-5, 2016 with trainings on chicken (May 2); duck (May 3); swine (May 4); and goat (May 5). The kick-off was spearheaded by Senator Cynthia Villar and Dr. Rene Santiago of BAI. On June 22, 2016, training on Honeybee Keeping shall also be conducted.

Free School Chairs to Public Schools nationwide

One of the livelihood projects of Senator Cynthia Villar here in Las Pinas City is the School Chair production. Would you believe that these chairs are made out of plastic wrappers? These wastes, which are undeniably causing pollution, are being delivered to the Plastic Waste Recycling Facility for it to be cleaned, crushed, and melted. After the manufacturing process, the produced chairs are then being awarded to the different schools all over the country.
